WARSAW

First of all, i have to say that Warsaw is more than I expected, may be the most underrated city i've ever visited. In my first day of visit, it is just an ordinary European city with its old side and modern site (which is quite seperated) and not as big as Paris,London,Vienna or any other capital in europe. To understand what it means, here are the photos that i took it from the top of the building "Palace of Culture and Science"(I'm gonna talk about more detailed about it later)

TİPS
ı want to talk about the accommodation&transport options. If u re planning to go there from smw in Poland, I'd advice you to go with polski bus (it s the cheapest way) or simply using by train (a little bit expensive). From Gdansk, its cost only 70 zloty -go and return-.And i'l advice you to buy daily pass tickets which is only 7 zloty for students and valid in all transport. In case of accommodation, this is the hostel we stayed.(Not the perfect location but good enough, breakfast included and very cleaned-new furniture with very friendly stuff)

In this city, first ,i went to the Muzeum Narodowe (National Museum), paintings in the second floor is quite good and also the order of the things but i don't strongly recommend this museum.(There is nothing extraordinary about the museum if you're not interested in Polish national art.) And then, we visited the landmark, Palace of Culture and Science which i took the photos from the top.

(I've got a chance to catch the building at daylight and night)

(square located in front of the building)

(Staszic Palace and Nicolaus Copernicus monument)
-I didn't know that he was from Poland even Warsaw-

In the second day, we attended the free walking tour with a guide nick-named PSE and he was very funny and informed.I didn't know that the youngest old town in the Europe is Warsaw Old Town cause it was re-constructed due to damages of  World War II. In fact, some of the parts of the Old Town (which is clearly seen in the photo) is re-builded from the locals because in that time the Soviet government didn't support them for reconstruction. And some of the museums, reconstruction still continue.

The mermaid is Warsaw's symbol and can be found on statues throughout the city and on the city's coat of arms.It has a story about Copenhagen, Baltic Sea etc. but I didn't remember it clearly but i can say that it not the original statue. You can also see the evolution of the symbol from one of the building's facade in old town.

TIPS
If you re planing to eat simple and traditional food in Warsaw, you can visit this restaurants from left behind the soviet period.(cause they didn't want to open fancy, pleasent restaurant, only simple and useful ones are accepted.)

Jewish Museum in Warsaw (dedicated to the Jewish People in Poland)
-as i remember, museum fee is 15 zloty for normal people and only 1 zloty for students-

Architecture of the museum of quite different i guess..From the outside, you ll see a basic platonic geometry (perfect cube with glass curtain walls but inside of the building, it s became complex and the atmosfhere itself  evokes the feeling of being in a cave.

A good Neighbour-İyi bir Komşu
